David Baca | principal
David was born and raised near Sherman, in fact, just on the other side of Choctaw Creek from where the legendary Texas architect O’Neil Ford was born. Being immersed in the Construction industry since childhood, he has always been aware of the built environment, and has developed a passion for creating a difference in the lives we live. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1994 and after working for two other firms he debuted David Baca Studio in December of 2006. David is married to Christy and has two daughters, is a member at Legacy Bible Church, and enjoys the outdoors, except camping.
Jared Tredway | project manager
Jared joined DBS full time in May 2007 after collaborating on projects part time. He grew up in Windom and was educated at Texas A&M, where he studied abroad at the Santa Chiara Study Center in Italy. After graduation, he returned to North Texas in hopes of enriching our small communities with meaningful places. He now enjoys renovating his midcenury home in Sherman, performing with the Sherman Symphony, volunteering with Downtown Sherman Now, music, movies, and working out.
Christy Baca | office manager
Christy handles the business for the company. A 1996 graduate of Texas A&M and trained as an educator, she has worked as a sustitute teacher in Sherman and as a Special Needs Consultant for a local private school. In addtion to her responsibilities at DBS, Christy enjoys her role as housewife and mother to her two girls, and in her spare time enjoys cooking, sewing, and entertaining friends.
